What it records at night,
and what it does when the battery is flat

Security cameras, video doorbells, smart locks, alarm kits, safes and sensors — and the mounts, memory cards, drives and batteries that keep them running. Compared on what actually decides whether they work: the illuminator that makes the night image, the runtime a maker quotes and the event count it assumes, the resistance grade stated on a cylinder, and what a subscription is required for. Priced on your own country's Amazon.

Pick the thing you are buying

25 families of devices, 20 of accessories and consumables. Each hub below compares one of them, with a plain answer to “what should I actually buy?” at the top — and the buying mistake that category invites.

Three things we will not do

  • Ranked on merit, not commission

Nothing here is ordered by what it pays. Where a €30 camera does the job of a €120 one, that is what the page says — and where the cheap option is a false economy because it records nothing without a paid plan, it says that instead.

  • Reported, not paraphrased

Stated battery runtime against the number of daily events it assumes, resolution against the illuminator that actually makes the night image, radio range quoted in open air against a range through walls, aperture size against the internal volume of a parcel box — the specifications that decide whether a device does its job, not the headline. Every figure names where it comes from, and a figure we could not source is left out rather than guessed. Resistance grades — EN 1303, EN 1300, IP and IK ratings — are reported from the manufacturer and never derived here.

  • Priced where you live

One button, fourteen Amazon stores. We send you to the same product on your own country’s Amazon, in your own currency — and where a model is not sold there, we say so instead of linking to a page that does not exist.

The tool we use ourselves

Chosen your tool? Now buy it at the right price.

Cameras, alarm kits and safes swing by thirty euros or more across the year, and the biggest "discounts" often land at prices the same model sold for six weeks earlier. UniverTrack tracks the real price history across retailers, spots fake reductions, and alerts you when it is genuinely the moment to buy.
